$10 lamp

GW finds!  $2.99 lamp, $1.99 Basket, and a $4.99 lampshade.

I spray painted the basket, then cut a hole in the bottom for the lamp cord to go through.
I sprayed the brass parts of the lamp with oiled bronze.
Sat the lamp down in the basket and put the shade on.
$10 well spent!

Stool makeovers!

My newest junking project!
Bought two stools at the Habitat Restore for $25.

Brown and brass are not my style!
Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Paris Grey to the rescue!
Rust-O-Leum Oil Bronze spray paint updates the brass.

Where will they go?
At the hightop table in my art room!

They have a back and they SWIVEL!
Love them....and gotta love the art of junking!

Art-O-Mat Vending Machine Art

I was accepted as an Artist in Cellophane artist.  My mini mixed media pieces will now be available in Art-O-Mat vending machines!  I posted earlier about this cool project which started out of Winston Salem, NC.

I've been busy this morning!   I have my first 25 pieces finished!  Look for them in a Art-O-Mat machine near you in the near future.  There are over 400 of these machines across the country.  Lots of them are in museums and coffee shops.

Painting is good for the soul!

I am so thankful to be on spring break this week!
I was in the studio last night and today and oh did it fill the soul!

I have two new mixed media paintings completed and I was accepted for the Art-O-Mat machines!  My box arrived with the blank blocks and acetate just a few minutes ago!  Can you tell by all the exclamation marks that I am over the moon excited about this artful adventure?
