My husband loves to watch Ask This Old House and I get a kick out of the hosts when they show some odd gadget that they all try to take a guess as to what it is used for. I thought I would do my own version of "What is it?".
Let's make this a giveaway!
The person who leaves a comment with the most outrageous, creative, funny, but wrong guess, will get a special surprise in the mail from me! I will also send a prize to the person who actually guesses the correct purpose of my husband's handiwork!
I can't wait to hear your answers!
Oh yeah....If you leave a comment, I also invite you to be a follower of my blog! Please share this with your followers so we can get lots of participation and maybe a few hardy laughs!
I think I will join a few linky parties this week:
Wow us Wednesday with Kim at Savvy Southern Style
I think that it is a cello stand or a time travel portal :)
ReplyDeleteOooh! Time travel would be fun!

ReplyDeleteI can not imagine what on earth this is! Chris might be right about the cello stand, I don't know.
ReplyDeleteCome on, take a wild guess!
DeleteIt's a prop used in dog agility training! A really fancy one to use in the dog show dontacha know! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI will have to see if my three puppies will jump through it!
Deletehmm, ok, i can totally see instrument stand, but i can see adding a mirror to it as well. maybe it's one of those mega bubble blowers, you know what i mean?
ReplyDeleteIt would make a pretty mirror! But bubbles would be more fun than looking at my wrinkles!
DeleteI think it might be a Banjo stand....but, I could also see it as a sprinkler holder....but...that would be a LOT of work with such beautiful wood.
ReplyDeleteYippee! We have a winner! Ceekay you guessed it first! It is indeed a hand crafted one of a kind banjo stand! My husband is an awesome woodworker and was commissioned to create a one a kind stand that wood look good enough to leave out in any room of the house. This was actually the second one! The first one was such a hit, the man ordered another. I need to do a post about the other things my husband builds.....exotic hardwood, concert snare drums.
DeleteCeekay,
If you will email me your address, I will get a mail box surprise on it's way! I have been looking at your blogs to see what you might like!
I, too, can see it being used as a banjo stand! Whatever it is, it's just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI think it is a sun dial. Beautiful woodwork!!!
ReplyDeleteWell... I just noticed someone guessed correctly but I still think it looks like a sundial. Thanks for the game :-)
