Ice Tea anyone?

I went from one end of my town to the other today, stopping at every thrift and antique store!  It was a great Saturday!  All my loot has ended up on top of the fridge.

I have picked this english Moira Pottery pitcher up more than once at one of my antique stops.  Today the price was right!  I love the natural color and the fact that it says "iced tea" just reflects the ultimate south that I call home.
Here you can see more of the things I have on top of the fridge.  The scale was purchased last summer.
The second treasure I picked up today was the old cutting board.  The size and patina was nice.  I thought it looked a lot like some I've seen in PB as cheese boards.
 The plant needs watering!
The little "chippy" stool was the last special prize of the day.  The size was perfect for lots of places around the house.  I love the way it can add just a little lift to highlight objects.  The old milk bottle peeking there behind the stool was a gift from my mom at Christmas.
If you are looking for a cute rabbit to use in your Easter decorations, check out Hobby Lobby.  I love this one because it was big and had a chippy old look.

I am slowing changing things in my old tool box to spring stuff.

Home with my dog...

I put the finishing stitches on "Home" by Bent Creek yesterday morning.  I am going to get this one framed and put it in he laundry room.

This is Scooter.  Just one of my three little boys!  he loves to lay near me on the sofa or bed when I am stitching.
I chose this piece back in January because it had this big heart in it.  It had me working hard to finishing it for Valentine's Day.

The weather is terribly cold and windy this weekend.  It is so nice to just stay at HOME by the fire with my dogs and stitch!

My iPhone matches my purse!

I really like Vera Bradley bags!  This hipster style is my favorite for hands free thrifting trips.
This island blue pattern is so fun...loving the aqua and lime together!

This is my iPhone all decked out to match my new purse!

I took an up close photo of the fabric and saved it as my background.

The translucent cover came from the cheap bins at Office Depot for $5.99.  Most covers that I see are $25 at other places.
I cut a rectangle from scrapbook paper, used a corner punch to round of the edges, colored in the leaves with a lime marker, used rubber stamps to do a monogram, cut out the camera hole, and popped it in between the case and phone.

This was a fun quick craft for a Sunday afternoon!

This style has a deep side pocket that I slip my phone into when I am out and about.

Organizing in my craft studio.

I put up two old curtain rods that I had in the attic in order to hang fabric for projects I am currently working on.
I left the ends long so that I could use the rings for trim storage.

I got another lunch box at the Sleepy Poet Antique Mall yesterday!  I will probably put die cuts in this one.

Cover those ugly books!

I got the new PB catalog the other night and inspected every little detail!  It is filled with post it notes on about every page...ideas that I can do with out buying anything.  There are some things that just are not pretty that you have to use everyday.  My teaching textbooks are one of those things that never  get put completely away and are an eye sore because of there bright commercial covers.  I noticed that some of the books were covered in brown paper in the pictures of the catalog.  Don't now why I had not thought of that before now.  They look much better on the shelf in the office now!

The Carolina Stitcher inspires!

If you are a stitcher and haven't visited Faye over at Carolina Stitcher, then you are missing out on her beautiful hand work.  She is the fastest stitcher I have ever seen!  She always has great ways to finish her work.  I am always looking forward to see what she posts.  Today, Faye posted a give away!  In her post she highlighted her sweet zippered project bags (which is part of her give away!).  I fell in love with those bags and couldn't get to the cloth store fast enough this afternoon.  I made the two bags in less than an hour tonight.  They were super easy!

I will be going back to the store for more supplies tomorrow !  Thanks for the inspiration Faye!
